There’s a pretty diverse mix of characters to choose from and you will likely find someone to match closely with your personality. The characters in Killing Floor 2 are wonderful. Here are my thoughts regarding this pretty mental multiplayer shooter. In it, you face increasingly difficult waves of ‘Zeds’, not dissimilar to zombie modes within the Call of Duty games, before facing off against a variety of bosses that are very tough to beat indeed. Instead, most of your time (and I almost guarantee a lot of it) will be spent within the wave-based survival modes. There’s no campaign or story to get lost in but honestly, I think the multiplayer is so fun most people wouldn’t bother much with it anyway. You will be playing in first-person as a survivor or in third-person as whichever type of monstrosity you choose to play as in the VS mode. As far as shooters go, they don’t get much crazier or more fun than this one. I also thought that it was, in general, more fun and more interesting.Killing Floor 2 is the first game, in the series, which has been developed and published by Tripwire Interactive for the current gen consoles. AS is a game that I go back to often, and lasted 5 or 6 times as long as Killing Floor.
Granted, those few hours will be very fun. Killing floor is a smoother game overall, but I think that it only lasts a couple of hours. Co-OP is killing floor is better.Īll in all, it's a ton of preference. That being said, co-OP in AS is pretty boring in my opinion. I can when I realize that I am about to reach my highest wave. Maybe this isn't a big deal for most people, but I can't challenge myself and find replayability in a horde mode when I am improving a score. You determine how well you did by how many waves you survive. AS uses a wave system, where there are waves of zombies that come at you. After you die, this score determines how well you did in the game and where you place on the leaderboards. Killing Floor uses a total score system where each kill gives you score. If you enjoy playing meaningfully and setting records for yourself and possibly world records, this will be worthless. If you just want to kill a bunch of things, it'll satisfy you. The horde mode is honestly extremely boring. This may sound normal, and while it works with a joystick, it just doesn't work here. which means that the longer you fire, the more you have to tilt your hand downwards to counteract it. It also doesnt help that the implementation of this two handed mechanic can be pretty wonky at times. The shotgun is a pain, because it's really hard to move around while both of your controllers are on the gun. Some guns require two hands to use (shotgun and sniper).

The melee weapons are the only plus I can identify in this game. The gunplay here is good, but it isn't better than AS. This story is both short and boring (can't tell you how long it is, but I believe that it is shorter than AS). I would argue otherwise.Īrizona has a fun and somewhat interesting story that lasts about 5 hours, as far as I'm aware.
